Today we pause to remember the almost 3,000 people who died in the 9/11 attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia 17 years ago. FDNY lost 343 firefighters that day and 117 other have succumbed to WTC-related illnesses since. We appreciate their sacrifice.
