This year we will be featuring a day in the life of a Park City Firefighter at each of Park City Fire Districts Fire Stations. This Month, we are visiting Station 36. Station 36 is located at 1977 Canyons Resort Drive. This station’s primary response area includes subdivisions of Park West, Sunpeak, Bear Hollow, Silver Springs, White Pine Canyon, and a small portion of the Park Meadows. Station 36 is located near The Canyons Ski Resort.
The station houses the on-duty Battalion Chief, three firefighters and during the ski season it also houses 2 EMTs to staff Ambulance 36. The Firefighters at station 36 all have tech certifications in addition to their fire certifications. These include Confined Space, Trench Rescue, Ropes, Vehicle Extrication and Hazmat Tech.
The apparatus in the station is a Ladder Truck, Ambulance, Heavy Rescue, Moto, Type 3 Wildland.
