Today we celebrate the retirement of Captain Rex Florendo. Rex started his career at Sandy Fire Department where he served for 4.5 years. Rex began his career with Park City Fire District in 1999 and served as a firefighter, Paramedic and Captain. Rex worked as a reserve Sheriff’s Deputy and SWAT operator/Medic with Summit County Sheriff Office for 5 years and developed the Rescue Task Force Program for active shooters. Rex has proudly served the citizens of Park City and Summit County for the past 24 years.
