Members of the PCFD Apparatus committee Jon Jahp, Matt Provost, and Brandon Pyper flew to Rosenbauer Motors this week in Wyoming, Minnesota for final inspection of the department’s new E33. The PCFD apparatus committee specs out and builds the new district apparatus. The committee evaluates the needs of the response area, the various technology and offerings from manufacturers, and selects the best build option. This process can take anywhere from 1-3 years to complete.
This week’s trip was for the final inspection of E33. The committee members went out to complete a visual inspection, a road test, and a pump test to ensure the finished product meets the standard for the original design that was picked.
Rosenbauer will complete the punch list of items and the new engine will be delivered within the coming weeks.
