At approximately 11:05 am 03.27.23, PCFD was dispatched for a citizen assist call on Parkway Drive.
A horse had been pushed out of the barn by another horse and sunk down in the deep snow. The horse was unable to move and spent the night stuck in the snow.
Park City Fire District firefighters were able to help rescue him by digging a path, approximately 30-40 feet, through the snow from the barn to the horse’s location. The Horse’s owners and neighbors assisted with the rescue. “The horse was hypothermic. A vet responded to the scene and said the horse will make a full recovery,” PCFD Captain McKay Wadley.
