Our Heartsaver CPR/AED course focuses on responding to life-threatening cardiac arrest and choking emergencies. In this course the students learn how to identify signs of and respond to adult, child, and infant cardiac arrest. Participants practice using proper CPR technique and utilizing AEDs in the appropriate way. Through watching videos and practicing with mannequins, our students will leave fully prepared to help save a life.
When: First Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm
Location: Training room at 736 W. Bitner Road (Administrative Office)
Cost: $40.00 per person (this includes your AHA manual)
Please pre-register. Class size is limited to 24 people. Classes with fewer than 4 people will be cancelled.
Whether you’re an RN, EMT, or other healthcare provider, BLS (Basic Life Support) classes are intended to provide you with with the ability to recognize and properly respond to a variety of life-threatening situations.
The American Healthcare Association’s website offers an online course for recertification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. The PCFD provides the practical skills assessment needed for re-certification for $25.
Practical Skills Assessment is scheduled before the monthly community Heart Saver CPR / AED or Heart Saver First Aid classes.
